Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2, 2026
Orbit ("we", "us", "our") is a visual CRM that helps you map your personal and professional network. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to the Orbit web app at app.orbit.soinsai.com and this site.
Information we collect
- Account data — name, email, and authentication identifiers when you sign up or sign in (including via Google Sign-In).
- Contact data — names, notes, voice memos, relationships, and any content you add about your network.
- Usage data — interactions with the app, device, and browser metadata used to keep the service reliable.
Google user data
When you sign in with Google or connect a Google account, Orbit may access the following Google user data, only with your explicit consent and only for the scopes you authorize:
- Basic profile — your name, email address, and profile picture, used to create and identify your Orbit account.
- Google Contacts (if you authorize the scope) — contact names, email addresses, phone numbers, and notes, used solely to import contacts into your Orbit network at your request.
- Google Calendar (if you authorize the scope) — event metadata involving people you interact with, used solely to surface relationship context within your Orbit network.
How we use Google user data
We use Google user data only to provide and improve the user-facing features of Orbit. Specifically:
- To authenticate you and create your Orbit account.
- To import and sync the contacts and relationship signals you choose to bring into Orbit.
- To display this information back to you within the Orbit interface.
We do not use Google user data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to the Orbit features you've enabled. We do not use Google user data to train generalized AI/ML models. Any AI processing (e.g., voice-to-structured-data) operates only on your behalf to deliver the feature you're using.
How we share data
We do not sell Google user data or any other user data. We do not transfer Google user data to third parties except as needed to provide or improve the Orbit features you use. We share data only with:
- Infrastructure providers we rely on to operate Orbit (cloud hosting, database, voice transcription, and authentication providers), bound by contractual confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
- Legal authorities, only when required by valid legal process.
Data protection
We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your data:
- Encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256).
- Access controls restricting employee access to user data on a need-to-know basis.
- Regular review of our authentication and authorization systems.
No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and will notify you of material incidents as required by law.
Data retention and deletion
We retain your data only as long as your Orbit account is active or as needed to provide the service. You can:
- Disconnect Google at any time from your account settings, which revokes Orbit's access to your Google user data.
- Delete specific data (contacts, notes, voice memos) from within the app.
- Delete your account at any time, which removes your data — including any Google user data we've stored — from our active systems within 30 days. Backups are purged within 90 days.
You can also revoke Orbit's access to your Google account at any time from your Google account permissions page.
Your rights
You can access, export, correct, or delete your data at any time from within the app, or by contacting us. Depending on your region you may have additional rights under GDPR, CCPA, or other local laws, including the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
Children
Orbit is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes — including any change to how we access, use, store, or share Google user data — we will notify you by email and/or via an in-product notification before the changes take effect.
